Today I was reading a Word someone had posted and immediately, I had a vision of seeing my self floating on my back in the water. I then began to recall, learning to float. My mom was in the water with me and she would place her hands underneath me, I remember sucking a lot of water learning to trust her to hold me there. I would panic and begin to splash about, nearly drowning me and my mom. I then remember how she would talk to me very calmly and ask me, “Do you trust me? Then be still and just relax.” It took me awhile, but pretty soon I could feel my body completely relaxed and my mom took her hands out from under me. I was actually floating. As long as I stayed relaxed, I stayed floating. Its an amazing feeling, and so peaceful.

However, the minute, I got anxious or panicked, my feet would drop and I was in the water. My mom told me the reason it was important to learn to float, was because, “If your out swimming and you get tired then you can just float awhile, until you get your strength back! It could save your life.”

Friends, God is asking us the same thing, “Do you trust me? Then be still and just relax, come float awhile.” When we do things in our own strength, or panic, we will begin to sink and be overwhelmed by life. But as we learn to trust Him and just relax, we are left completely at peace. Will you trust Him today?

Father I thank you for always being there when I need you. Please help me to trust you, when I feel the storms of life are too much to bare and I feel like I am drowning. Help me to rest in you and be at peace. Remind me, when I am weak or panicking that you are always there and that I can trust you to keep me from sinking. Amen.

Romans 15:13 Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! (TPT)
