BUT ARE YOU PREPARED TO ACCELERATE?

The definition of accelerate is, to speed up, move faster, increase speed. We have heard countless words about God accelerating us in this season, and I believe this to be true as well. However, I want to challenge you. ARE YOU READY?? I mean REALLY ready??

So many of us, when we hear that word of God accelerating us, we rejoice, we get excited we praise God and we receive it by faith.

But are you ready?

Do you really grasp what that means? Many words have been attached to the scripture, Amos 9:13-14. “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” GOD’s Decree.Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel:

We always focus on the blessing part, but lets focus on this part, ‘“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up.”

Did you catch that last part, “You wont be able to keep up?”

You see God can accelerate us, but we have to prepare ourselves in advance for that acceleration. God does His part, but expects us to do ours. Are you ready to receive the blessings? Of course you are. We all are! But are you prepared, mentally, spiritually, and PHYSICALLY. If God were to open amazing opportunities for you, could you keep up? The word says, it will be so fast your head will swim. That means we must be prepared mentally. But God has given me a sense of urgency for the Body, literally the physical body as well as the Church.

IT IS TIME TO PREPARE YOUR BODY. It is time to get healthy, so that you can be ready for the acceleration. If I get on the treadmill and start walking and stay at that pace I am fine. However, if I (accelerate) the speed suddenly and start running, how long can I do it? Well it depends on how much I have prepared my body. I might be able to keep that pace, or I might get so winded I have to stop, because its just too fast for what I can handle at the time. Or worst yet, I can seriously injure myself, due to lack of training.

The Word says, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 You were bought with a price, therefore honor God with your bodies.”

God begin to convict me of this! This body is a loaner. If I am to do all that God has called me to do, then I need to do my best to feed it healthy and keep it healthy. It grieves my heart that so many people are sick because of their own destructive behaviors of overeating.

We have indulged the flesh for so long and it is, “socially acceptable.” I mean everything we do revolves around food. We have made food an IDOL. We can’t do this anymore. Friends, life is short, and God is indeed moving things quickly. But I would hate for our destiny to be cut short, because we can’t keep up, due to our own selfish indulgences and neglect.

Don’t trade your inheritance for a bowl of soup.
Genesis 25:29-34
So again, I ask you. “ARE YOU REALLY READY FOR ACCLERATION?”

🌞TAKING RESPONSIBILTY

If we are brutally honest with ourselves, we have to admit that we make time for things we want to make time for. We spend money on things that have value to us.

I remember years ago a friend laughing at me for spending $5 on a Starbucks Coffee. She on the other hand could justify spending $4 on a pack of cigarettes. I wouldn’t give 2cents for a cigarette let alone $4!

But we spent our money on what we found value in. Likewise, we will also invest our time into things that are important to us.–We all have the same 24hrs in a day.

If I choose not to do my workout, its not because I didn’t have time. I have to take responsibility and say. “It wasn’t a priority”. –The same goes for our food choices. We all choose what we put in our bodies.

Friends, truth is many of us are overweight physically, but underweight spiritually. Perhaps God is teaching us to rely on Him for comfort, rather than food.

As we continue to seek God spiritually, I believe He will be able to fill that void for food. Be encouraged friends we are all in this together. God is doing a work in all of us. But we must take responsibility for our health if we want to see change:)

LIVING A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IS AS MUCH A SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE AS IT IS A PHYSICAL ONE.

This is so very true. We have heard the sayings, “What you eat in private you wear in public.” All of us have junk, things we struggle with. Some people are addicted to alcohol or drugs sex or money. Most of which can be hidden from others. However, when you have a food addiction the world knows it. There is no hiding it, it shows up every where on your body.

Now I have struggled with my own demons of food for years. But as God has taken me on this fitness journey he is teaching me to trust in Him for all my emotional and physical needs. That I am to rely on Him and not food for comfort.

Do I still struggle? Of course. Am I still paying for things I did to my body? Yes. But I cannot undo what I did, I can only try to improve upon the person I am today.

I am learning that eating healthy is as much a spiritual discipline as it is a physical one. We have to learn self control in all things regarding the flesh.
But we know Gods Word tells us that we have all been given a spirit of self control 2Timothy 1:7 We all have a choice as to whether or not we exercise that gift.

Friends, God does not care how much you weigh, but He does care about your health. He cares about your emotions and your mental health. When we allow ourselves to abuse our bodies, to the point of causing physical harm and infirmities, Ie. High Blood pressure, diabetes, lack of mobility all directly related to our lifestyle. He is concerned. ( I am not speaking of people born with these ailments, but rather have inflicted them on themselves.) When we are overweight this affects everything in our lives.

Perhaps God is wanting to take you on a journey to wellness. Allow Him to speak into your life and show you the areas you need work on. If we truly want ALL that God is requiring of us, then we are required to do our part. The first step is to be obedient in the small things. Remember God loves you too much to let you stay where you are. Be blessed my friends.
